Thank you for being the reason behind the smiles

22/12/2023

In 2023, Eco Children saw countless smiles on children's faces. These precious moments were made possible by the kindness and support of our donors and supporters, who truly made a difference in the lives of these young ones. Witnessing the beauty of these heartfelt smiles fills us with immense gratitude towards all of you.

As part of our Merry Moments campaign, we spread joy to nearly 700 children in our partner schools by gifting them Christmas stockings brimming with presents.

Through our Kit-a-Kid initiative, we empowered 210 children to confidently start the school year by providing them with vouchers worth R500 each for new school uniforms.

The wholesome and nutritious meals served to over 5,000 children daily were made possible by the Eco Village Keyhole gardens of our nine partner schools.

The opening ceremony of a new Eco Village and Kitchen at Powerline Primary was a unique celebration that opened doors to a brighter future.

The excursions to Kruger National Park were a thrilling and educational experience for our top-performing students, reinforcing their ecology lessons and providing many of them with their first visit to the park.

Eco Children's library initiative has been a game-changer in the education system of our areas of operation. The newly completed library at Tshokolo Primary School marks the eighth library we have established, and our literacy programme has been instrumental in promoting reading and learning for all students.

The remarkable achievements of our 11 Southern Cross Bursary students in 2023 were a true testament to their unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. They serve as an inspiration to all who strive to achieve greatness through hard work.

May these beautiful moments make you smile and inspire you to spread joy this festive season. Let's cherish the time we spend with our loved ones and remember that the best Christmas gift is thegift of giving.
